Honestly, this question is more complex and profound than it seems. First and foremost, we are friends. We want to prove that it is possible to do what we want and follow our mindset and way of working. We have a very unusual lifestyle; we will close our bar if the waves are good and stop roasting coffee if we want to go surfing or play darts.

I think that's why we love what we do so much and put our hearts and souls into this project. Opening a specialty coffee roastery of the highest quality in a village in the interior of Portugal, even if it is touristy, was not and is not easy. It's a daily challenge to make something so crazy happen in such a small place. I think that's what drives us, this crazy idea of roasting the best coffee possible in such a remote place, far from the mainstream. It's a political, social, and ecological act. We don't want to be in the big city, but we won't stop dreaming. It's a privilege to be where we are, roasting amazing coffee alongside friends and waves.
